When pursuing FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early), many investors decide whether to focus on stocks or real estate as their primary wealth-building strategy.
Retiring early is a notable goal. It would be interesting to wrap a confidence interval around prospective living standards given the alternative investments risk and return attributes. That starts with optimizing the base case living standard, and we need more discussion on this point.
I wrote this as a more optimistic or at least level piece although I personally believe that it is very optimistic to think the stock indices can continue as they have the last decade.
Even now only a few of the S&P500 stocks are very successful and the index is constantly updates to replace lagger with more successful growers.
All that liquidity would be better serve in Bitcoin. The BTC ETF seems like it's going to suck all the liquidity out the housing market soon . The taxation is too high on housing and the economy is bad . I expect housing prices to be falling soon like rain.
I believe there s a lot of penned up demand due to the high interest rates that will be unlocked when rates come down more
The one question for BTC as an active part of the economy and a means of payment is: What do you do if the G20 and BRICS (just examples) forbid its use
Excellent post!
